ABRSM scholar wins keyboard finals of ROSL Arts competition
ABRSM scholar Dominic Degavino recently won the keyboard section finals of this year’s ROSL Arts competition.
The 21-year-old, who is from Milton Keynes and currently a fourth year piano student at the Royal Northern College of Music, was awarded the £5,000 prize. He will now compete for the Gold Medal and £10,000 first prize at the ROSL’s Annual Music Competition at Cadogan Hall this summer.
The ROSL Arts is a division of the Royal Over-Seas League and is devoted to the career development of talented young professional artists and musicians from the Commonwealth.
Dominic Degavino said: “I'm thrilled to have won this fantastic prize! It really feels like the culmination of a very successful few years of study here at the RNCM.
“The generous support of ABRSM has enabled me to focus hard on my studies and to flourish over these past few years. I've always been very proud to be an ABRSM Scholar and the prestige of being so has also helped me down several paths. None of this would be possible as well without the support of so many people, including my wonderful and long-standing piano teacher, Helen Krizos.”Back to listing
