Supporting Musical Journeys in Extraordinary Times
Mick Elliott of ABRSM Introducing Play On
Join us as ABRSM explores new ways to support and inspire your musical journey
The world around us is changing at a furious pace but ABRSM’s mission to support the progress of music learners everywhere is exactly as it always has been.
As we stand ready to reinstate music exams, our priority is to make sure that we can continue helping you prepare, progress and share your music amidst the upheaval facing us all – and we’re rising to the challenge.
From this week we’re launching “Play On”, a new web platform with a constantly updated mix of features, tutorials, competitions, advice guides and expert views designed to inspire our worldwide music community of teachers, parents and learners throughout, and beyond, these challenging times.
The platform is a reflection of our commitment to supporting individual musical journeys and will develop over the next few weeks as a hub for learners, parents, teachers and anyone who is interested in music learning, giving them new inspiration, advice and opportunities to grow as musicians.
We want it to bring the entire ABRSM community together, connecting you with us and with each other and provide a platform for your music that, because of venue closures and exam cancellations, you are currently being denied.
We want it celebrate what music alone can do in times like these – engross, thrill, absorb, challenge, entertain and bring light. With your help, we will co-create some great content and inspire others – just as, I hope, you are inspired by the musicians in our Play On video.
So please explore the Inspire, Learn, Support and Teach sections of the platform and join us as we play on.
